The Capital Region Airport Authority has officially launched a major $12.5 million roadway infrastructure reconstruction project at the Capital Region International Airport to improve long-term safety, traffic flow, and economic growth on airport-owned roads.
This project will run in five phases from July 2026 through August 2027, upgrading portions of Port Lansing Road and Capital City Boulevard to all-season Class A standards. Improvements include geometry revisions, storm sewer replacements, enhanced signage, and a brand-new pedestrian walkway extending to the terminal building.
