
Direct flights to Montego Bay, Jamaica, coming to Capital Region International Airport
LANSING – Apple Vacations has announced that it is adding Jamaica to its lineup of direct flights to tropical vacation destinations from Capital Region International Airport (LAN) for the 2017-18 season, while continuing service to Cancun, Mexico, and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
Between Dec. 23, 2017, and April 5, 2018, Apple will offer a total of 78 nonstop flights to Montego Bay, Jamaica, and Cancun and Punta Cana.
Chartered flights aboard a 174-seat 737-800 aircraft operated by Swift Air will depart LAN for Cancun on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays; Punta Cana on Wednesdays and Sundays; and Montego Bay on Mondays.
"We are thrilled that Apple Vacations is continuing its longtime partnership with Capital Region International Airport by adding a new and exciting destination while retaining service to perennial favorites," said Nicole Noll-Williams, the airport's director of marketing and passenger development.
"Although temperatures are starting to rise in Michigan, it's not too early to start planning winter getaways, " Noll-Williams said, adding that Apple flights tend to fill up quickly.
Apple's vacation flights include complimentary nonalcoholic beverage services and snacks, one carry-on bag and one checked bag free of charge with AV-OK. Premium Class seating and Preferred Perks Plus upgrades are available from $29 and $39, respectively.
As an added bonus, travelers can take advantage of savings of up to $200 on Exclusive Vacation Packages from Lansing, Michigan (LAN) to any destination by using the promo code LANEBB18. Guests booking packages of three nights or more will save $100 per adult. The promo code is valid for bookings made by June 22, 2017 for travel Dec. 23, 2017 – Jan. 31, 2018.
